Hardware Engineer

  • Xilinx/Microsemi FPGA design, simulation, synthesis and debug.
  • Advanced digital modem development for software-defined radio platforms.
  • Responsibilities include analog, power, and embedded board level design, development and debug.  Some designs will involve high speed signals and modern interfaces (e.g., Rocket I/O, Ethernet, LVDS).
  • Ability to learn and/or perform tasks related to embedded software highly desired and preferably platforms using FPGAs/SoCs (system on chip).
  • Experience programming in VHDL and C/C++ and RF is helpful but not required.
  • Ideal candidates should have some hardware (mixed signal design, schematic development) is a plus.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required.

Communications Design Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Tasks involve analysis, modeling, and simulation of RF systems, as well as numerical optimization.
  • Analysis of RF components will be performed to determine applicability to, and guide, the modeling and simulation effort.
  • The outputs of the modeling and simulation effort will be used as a part of a larger numerical optimization task which will modify waveform parameters to achieve the desired system-level performance, as reported by the modeled system.

Skills and Experience:

  • MATLAB and strong RF skills are required.
  • Electronics hardware, HDL, and software design for software-defined radios are highly desired.
  • Experience and/or familiarity with GPS systems and waveforms is also desired.
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Communications or Systems Engineering or similar field is strongly preferred.
  • Combination of education and experience is acceptable.
  • Looking for motivated and skilled individuals to become impact players on an exciting team.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required.

Embedded Software Engineer

Experience with the latest General-Purpose GPU (GP-GPU) processors, FPGAs, or combinations of these two technologies is highly desired.

Responsibilities include developing prototype code as needed in frameworks such as OpenCL and/or CUDA and evaluating performance-to-power-ratio characteristics.

Goal is to use these systems/solutions to support on-orbit data processing for payloads such as Synthetic Aperture Radars (SARs), hyper-spectral imagers and related.

Job Duties:

  • Embedded software design and implementation using processors and tools associated with FPGA based ARM Applications Processors.
  • Software development with embedded Linux, Linux networking, other embedded operating systems.
  • RFC level implementation of networking protocols (IP, IPsec).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) is highly desired. Combination of experience and education in lieu of a degree is acceptable.
  • Ability to obtain government security clearance is required (unable to accept or sponsor work visas at this time).
  • US Citizenship Required.
    • Software Engineer – IP Networking:  Seeking experienced full time software engineer with experience in Embedded OSes and RFC level understanding of networking protocols (IPsec, IKE).
    • Project Manager / System Engineer: Seeking a lead engineer with experience in communications / COMSEC electronics, software design and design certification (NIST, EAL, Type 1, etc.).
    • FPGA & Digital/Analog Board Design Engineer: Seeking an electrical engineer with experience in one or more of the following areas: VHDL design (Xilinx and Actel devices), processor peripherals, error correcting code, serial communication protocols, mixed signal design, schematic design, board checkout and acceptance testing, and environmental testing.

Spacecraft Electrical Systems Junior Engineer

Looking for highly motivated and skilled individuals to become impact players on an exciting team.  Junior engineers are a part of actual client project teams, receive hands-on design, development, and test experience.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor and/or Master’s of Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science degree.
  • Disciplines desired include hardware (digital, mixed signal), RF, FPGA, and embedded software.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
