FINALIST FOR MOST INNOVATIVE NEW PRODUCT AWARD

SAN DIEGO, CA, October 31, 2019 – Today, Innoflight announced that its KI-103 End Cryptographic Unit (ECU), also known as Gnome, has been selected as a finalist, in the Defense category, for Connect with San Diego Venture Group’s Most Innovative New Product Awards (MIP).

The KI-103 is a spacecraft ECU for secure space-to-ground or space-to-space communications designed to prevent non-authorized entities to intercept Telemetry, Tracking and Command (TT&C) and mission critical data.

“Innoflight is truly excited about the MIP nomination since we invest a significant amount of effort in our cryptographic and cyber secure product line,” said Jeff Janicik, Innoflight CEO and President. “Innoflight is a pioneer in secure solutions and we are already working on the next generation ECU, which will achieve greater than 10 times higher data rates than the KI-103…”

The KI-103 was certified by the National Security Agency (NSA) for Top Secret and Below (TSAB) COMSEC space missions in January of this year and KI-103 units are already in space on multiple missions. The KI-103 is based on AES-256 encryption technology, is low Size, Weight and Power (SWaP), is easy to integrate with the spacecraft, and is offered at a low price point. The KI-103 can be delivered as a standalone unit or integrated with Innoflight’s Software-defined Compact Radios for best mission utility. The 2019 MIP Awards presentation will be held at the Innovation Awards dinner on December 5 at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine, 3777 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego, CA 92122.  Each of the finalists will be featured in the Innovation Showcase and the winner in each category will be announced live during the dinner.
