INNOFLIGHT’S COMPACT FLIGHT COMPUTER CFC-400X USHERS IN ADVANCED LEVELS OF RELIABILITY

SAN DIEGO, CA, April 21, 2020 – New for 2020, Innoflight is proud to announce the release of the CFC-400X. With the CFC-400X, Innoflight is able to offer further levels of reliability by integrating the defense-grade version of the high-performance Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ Multi-Processor System-On-Chip (MPSoC). The CFC-400X—which replaces the original CFC-400—continues Innoflight’s design philosophy of innovatively utilizing a hybrid design that leverages Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) components for high performance in combination with radiation supervisors to implement Innoflight’s extensive suite of radiation mitigation techniques. With the CFC-400X, Innoflight’s radiation mitigation techniques are more proactive and advanced than ever before.

“The defense-grade version of the Xilinx MPSoC works together with Innoflight’s radiation mitigation techniques to provide several enhancements and new capabilities that improve the Single-Event Effect performance of the CFC-400X,” said Jonathan Wolff, Senior Engineer/CFC-400X Architect at Innoflight. “These changes support the use of the CFC-400X in applications with even more demanding radiation environments than the previous generation of the CFC-400.”

The CFC-400X continues to offer a high level of customizability through the use of a separate and integrated daughter card that can support program-specific interface requirements, such as 1000Base-T Gigabit Ethernet, SpaceWire, CameraLink, RS-422, GPIO, USB, I2C, SPI, CMOS UART, etc.

In order to support the next generation of space programs, the CFC-400X is available for order now. Innoflight also offers other low Size, Weight and Power (SWaP) high performing flight computers including options with Graphic Processing Units (GPUs).
