SAN DIEGO, CA, February 5, 2020 – As we start the new year, Innoflight has decided to share its flight heritage history and latest updates. So far, Innoflight has sold more than 200 developmental and flight units across all of its product lines:
- Software-defined Compact/Ground Radios (SCRs/SGRs)
- Cryptographic & Cyber Secure Systems [including End Cryptographic Units (ECUs)]
- Processing, Networking & Data Storage Avionics [including Compact Flight Computers (CFCs) & Payload Interface Electronics (PIEs)]
Innoflight’s customers include government agencies, major defense prime contractors, satellite bus manufacturers and space developers. Seventeen (17) of these units were integrated, tested and launched on spacecrafts in Low Earth Orbit (LEO), Polar LEO and Geosynchronous Orbit (GEO):
In 2019, of significance, Innoflight gained flight heritage on the SCR-104 and KI-103. In 2020, Innoflight expects maiden voyages for the CFC-400 and the ECU-400.
“Innoflight has a long history of flight heritage dating back to 2011 with our first avionics launched to space,” said Jeff Janicik, Innoflight CEO and President. “The superior maturity of our products is supported by over 50,000 hours of testing, qualification and on-orbit operation. Furthermore, Innoflight has completed extensive radiation analysis and testing campaigns on our products and we continuously strive to improve the performance and reliability of our products, both hardware and software.”
“Considering Innoflight’s increasing unit orders, Innoflight has transitioned the majority of our established products to “build-to-print” with turn-key contract manufacturing partners,” said Trevor Coolidge, Vice President, Engineering & Operations. “Another measure we implemented, to ensure the quality of each product while meeting a greater volume throughput, is automated testing using Innoflight’s unique Comprehensive Automated Testing Suite (CATS). This testing method ensures a consistent and repeatable testing regime.”
